Courtney Love’s Public Bathroom Rage

September 21st, 2009 // 3 Comments

Unsurprisingly, rocker Courtney Love doesn’t take too kindly to being interrupted while going to the bathroom. Who does, really?

However, there might have been a more graceful way of dealing with an unwanted visitor who accidentally wandered into Love’s unlocked bathroom stall at a recent party at the Standard Hotel.

Page Six
reports that partygoer, Sebastian Karnaby, opened the door, only to find Love, as he describes it, “sitting on the toilet with her skirt around her ankles.” He claims to have quickly closed the door, only to have the singer storm out, screaming that she would have him tossed from the party.

He relates, “She jumped on me, went crazy and dragged me over to security by the arm and claimed that I’d attacked her.” At that point, Karnaby went very still because, like many predators, her vision is based on movement.

  1. Liberation

This story is fake. First of all, if Sebastian Karnaby walked through the front door of a party room, it’s highly unlikey he couldn’t find his way out, or at the very least, recognize the door he came through. The space isn’t that big.

It sounds like this story was fabricated by a man because most women pull their skirt up, not down, when they pee.

It’s HIGHLY unlikely the Boom Boom Room at the Standard Hotel has a single occupancy bathroom.

This article is obviously retaliation for her being noisy at a fashion show the night before. That’s the only reason they ran it a week after it supposedly happened.

Every publication that chooses to run this story looks ridiculous for spreading the NYP’s gossip.
