In an interview with BBC Radio 2, Brian discussed the possibility of a Queen tour in the US, featuring none other than Adam Lambert. “…I think we’ll be doing some more stuff this summer in fact, probably in the States.” A summer tour? With Adam? This means I’ll get to hear him sing “Fat Bottomed Girls”!
I remember when Queen did their last tour. It was weird.
They were billing themselves as Queen & Paul Rodgers, which probably goes back to what Brian was telling BBC. “I think we all protested too much in the sense when Freddie [Mercury] went and we didn’t want to talk about it and didn’t want to be Queen for a while.” Guys, I allow you to be Queen again.
Especially if it’s with Adam. And lucky for us, Brian and Roger Taylor love him. “We’ve been talking to Adam Lambert, you know we’ve already done some gigs with Adam, who is amazing.” Yay!
Although Adam, listen, love you to bits and pieces, but you have to sing “Bohemian Rhapsody” as a duet with Freddie. Because that is Freddie’s song. Luckily they generally do that anyway, so we should be good.
Are you looking forward to a possible Queen + Adam Lambert tour? I know I’ll be buying tickets if it actually happens. Sound off in the comments!
