Although the film centers around a dark theme, the cast of ‘Contagion’ hit the Venice Film Festival looking bright and cheery. Starring Gwyneth Paltrow, Matt Damon, Jude Law, Laurence Fishburne, the tried and true actors are ready for a successful launch. The plot of the film focuses on Paltrow’s character Beth Emhoff who contracts a deadly virus at an airport and consequently takes the disease global. While fans might be lining up outside theaters for this thriller, once of the most vocal supporters of Gwyneth’s performance is her castmate Matt Damon.
Matt told Access Hollywood, “More so than anybody I’ve every worked with, she’s got an ability to turn it on and off. Like she can just be talking about anything and then when they say, ‘Rolling,’ it’s like she snaps, she just locks in, in a way that I don’t understand, because I can’t do it. I’ve worked with a lot of great actors and one thing that happens for is that a great actor is so good that they pull me right in…that’s how I feel when I do a scene with her, I’m instantly brought in because she takes me there.” Well fans should be excited to be taken there too, in theaters September 9th.
