There has been no official confirmation on the date for Conan O’Brien‘s last day as host on the Tonight Show, however, sources indicate that the red-headed comic will likely make his departure on January 22nd.

A source tells People magazine, “Conan does not currently plan on doing any more new shows after next week.” A hiatus has reportedly been in the works since before the NBC late night scheduling fiasco began scheduled to start January 25th.

As for Jay Leno, TMZ reports that the comedian has renegotiated his deal with NBC and will host The Tonight Show from 11:35 p.m. to 12:35 a.m. This is a claim the network denies.

Since Conan said in a statement released on Tuesday, “I cannot participate in what I honestly believe is [the Tonight Show‘s] destruction,” celebrities have taken to Twitter to express their support for O’Brien.

Ice-T writes, “This Jay Leno shit is all f*cked up. They got my man Conan in the mix!! NOBODYS SAFE in the entertainment biz.. I’m happy to have 25 yrs in!” Honestly, I couldn’t have said it better myself, although maybe Coco could have. She’s probably wearing a black thong to express her grief.
