The Sunday morning Glee panel at Comic-Con proved to be rather informative. Most importantly, producer Brad Falchuk revealed that Lea Michele, Chris Colfer and Cory Monteith are not being let go after their characters graduate. The trio will return for Season 4, and possibly beyond. In sad news, Chord Overstreet will NOT be returning to Glee, despite previous reports stating otherwise.
Cast members are pictured at the Entertainment Weekly Comic-Con party. Here is a summary of what else was revealed during the panel: the next season will be comprised of two “mini-seasons” mixed with larger stories that continue throughout. Rachel’s mom will return, and there is a possibility that her two dads will be introduced. Mercedes will have a new boyfriend whom she met over the summer, Kurt and Blaine are not breaking up, and Artie will not reunite with Tina.
Sue will run for Congress to end all glee clubs, running on a no arts platform. Dot Marie-Jones will be returning, and there is a possibility of another hour-long episode centered on one recording artist, towards the end of the season. As of now, there is no plan for a spinoff, but executive producer Dante DiLoreto promises a “pretty phenomenal” season.
