Colton Haynes Joins Arrow As Speedy! Plus 45 Of His Hottest Modeling Photos

This is great news!

We were super bummed when we heard that actor Colton Haynes would not be returning to Teen Wolf. However, Colton was not down for the count for very long. Haynes has joined the cast of Arrow.

Haynes has landed a recurring role as Roy Harper, described by The CW as “a handsome, street-savvy teenager from ‘the Glades,’ the harsh, poverty-stricken portion of Starling City.” He is also being set up as a love interest for Oliver’s little sister Thea (Willa Holland) after crossing paths “in an unexpected way.”

Roy is “destined to become a significant part of her life and an important player in the larger world of Arrow,” TV Guide Magazine first reported.

Fans of the DC Comics story of Arrow may recognize the name of Haynes’ character. Roy Harper first appeared in the comic in 1941 as the Green Arrow’s sidekick Speedy (which also not-so-coincidentally happens to be Thea’s nickname…), as well as the Justice League’s Red Arrow and Teen Titans member Arsenal. Little details are being revealed as to which incarnation this Roy Harper will be, but no matter what, he is going to play a big part in the future of the show.

So who else his hoping for some duel Stephen Amell and Colton Haynes shirtless scenes?

I’ll avoid the photos, but Haynes is definitely a good fit to play Red Arrow. The show has been so impressive with the number of characters it’s bringing in in this first season. I have a few DISH coworkers that are still talking about The Huntress, and we like the new costume adaptations, too. It will be a great first season of the next legendary CW show, so I’m saving all 23 episodes to my DISH Hopper. Its 2TB hard drive is perfect for letting my save my entire lineup and a full season when I want to. I would’ve had to pick and choose shows this season if I still had my old DVR. Now we just need to see who else shows up that I remember from my comic book days.
