Jackpot: Colin Firth And Michael Fassbender Shopping Around Film [PHOTOS]

Oh my stars.  It’s as if my wine-soaked prayers have been answered, for Colin Firth and Michael Fassbender are shopping around the film, Genius.

BBC America’s Anglophenia reports that many a distributor is interested in the film adaptation of A. Scott Berg’s Max Perkins: Editor Of Genius, with The Weinstein Company’s U.K., Australia and New Zealand markets already securing a deal, sold by FilmNation.

Since TWC released The King’s Speech (Firth won Best Actor for his portrayal of King George VI, and the movie scored Best Film), there’s speculation that Weinstein could also secure the domestic rights to Genius.

Genius tells the “tender, complex” friendship that grew between author Thomas Wolfe (Fassbender) and editor Max Perkins (Firth) and changes their lives forever.
