Eva Longoria and Nathan Fillion were at the 52nd Annual Monte Carlo Film Festival today (June 13th), but we only had eyes for The Client List‘s Colin Egglesfield. Those eyes, that bone structure. This man needs to play Christian Grey!
According to the examiner, screenwriter Bret Easton Ellis tweeted about his interest in penning the script for Fifty Shades of Grey, which was acquired by Universal. At first, Ellis was all about Alexander Skarsgard playing Grey, but in the past few days his tune has changed. ”Regarding Christian in Fifty Shades of Grey I know everyone seems to like Ian Somerhalder but has anyone noticed Logan Marshall-Green?…it’s hard for me to think of Ian Somerhalder as Christian G. because I’ve known him personally for so long.”
Then the tweets switched to casting Anna: “Emmy Rossum as Ana in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie? Thoughts?”
It looks like Ellis was listening to fans of the book, because he came around to the idea of Somerhalder. ”Okay, okay: I’m seeing Christian G. in Fifty Shades of Grey as Ian Somerhalder but Paul Denton in The Rules of Attraction keeps haunting me. I know Ian Somerhalder and how kinky he can be and yes, he’s probably Christian Grey in Fifty Shades of Grey, and he will go all-out for it.” Ellis then added, “I want Alex Pettyfer for Christian Grey but I know he’ll never do it.”
