Claire Danes Reunites with Baz Luhrman at NY Musical Theatre Festival

14 years after making William Shakespeare’s Romeo + Juliet, Claire Danes came together with director Baz Luhrman last night at the New York Musical Theatre Festival opening night gala at the Hudson Terrace in New York City.

Luhrman, who hosted the event, serves as an honorary chairman and said, “I am not only honored but
thrilled to support and be involved in the New York Musical Theatre Festival,
because it’s more than just a good idea, it is essential to the future prospects of the next generation.”

Lately Danes has been on my top 10 list of celebrity must-have looks and I do like this dark metallic dress, though she looks greasy and tired. Nothing compared to the flawless Armani Prive Emmy gown.

I still remember envying Danes when she starred in William Shakespeare’s Romeo + Juliet opposite Leonardo DiCaprio. She’s come such a long way since then! Celebrating her first year as a missus, Danes has an Emmy award under her belt and is hob-nobbing with major fashion icons on a daily basis.

My, has our little Juliet grown up!
