Chris Brown, don’t you know that the one person in the world you should never say anything bad about is Oprah? Apparently Mr. Brown does not know this cause he told People magazine that he was not a fan of Oprah’s Rihanna-inspired domestic violence episode.
“I commend Oprah on being like, ‘This is a problem,’ but it was a slap in my face,” he says. “I did a lot of stuff for her, like going to Africa and performing for her school. She could have been more helpful, like, ‘OK, I’m going to help both of these people out.’”
During the domestic violence episode, Oprah dedicated it “to all the Rihannas of the world” and say that “love doesn’t hurt. And if a man hits you once, he will hit you again. He will hit you again. I don’t care what his plea is.” Well, from working with victims of domestic violence, I can tell you that this is true.
And don’t think that Oprah didn’t have a few things to say to Chris. A spokeswoman for Oprah told E! News, “Oprah is very appreciative that Chris Brown performed at her school, but she takes domestic abuse very seriously. She hopes he gets the counseling he needs.”
It probably would have been a good idea for Oprah to check with Rihanna before dedicating a whole show to her. For some reason Rihanna seems to have no problem with what happened and would actually like Chris back. Or at least within 100 yards of her. It is always nice to hear what Chris has to say though. I love people defending themselves, don’t you?
