Chris Brown Cries During BET Performance & It’s Awkward For The World

June 28th, 2010 // 9 Comments

BET Awards are never a letdown. Someone always does something crazy and for once, it wasn’t Kanye West. Chris Brown lost his ess during his tribute to Michael Jackson and just cried on stage.

The singer took to the stage to go through a medley of Jackson’s hits and his moves were impeccable, but as he started to sing, he began that convulsive “I can’t breathe” sob, the one that I do everytime I watch that last Lord Of The Rings movie.

Eventually he just walked off, tears streaming down his face. As much as I want to believe his sincerity, I don’t think anything in show business goes unplanned. And I think the audience felt awkward because no one still knows if it’s acceptible again to like Chris Brown.

The show was hosted by the multi-costumed Queen Latifah, who wore gowns, a leopard-print muumuu,
a basketball jersey and her prison-warden outfit from Chicago
.

Well, thank you for reading! We’re not dogging on him because we think he deserves to be respected again as an artist…but it just seems like he needs to figure out the right plan to come back into the public eye. This sadly just came across just weird.

I think it is a shame the way the “world” is treating Chris Brown… He was 19 years old. He made a mistake.. What was Ike Turner or R Kelley’s excuse???
Why does Chris Brown have to be the industry whipping boy??

  3. Stephanie

This is SOO scripted. Whoever decided this was a good idea is an idiot, because it comes across as insincere, weird, and forced. It made me cringe to watch it.

Was Chris Brown TRULY moved during his performance or was it just an act by a great performer to get some fans back? Dr. O has a message for Chris Brown or anyone else who may have abusive tendencies. Check it out at AskDrO.com and see if you agree!

YES HE DOES DESERVE EVERYTHING HE GETS! How DARE HE? Who cares if he was 19 or 49 is that any better?!?!?!?! Imagine if someone did that to someone you love? He makes me sick. The ppl at BET are clearly insane they let this trash do the MJ tribute?! MJ is a legend! How insulting! Acting is not CB’s forte just a lame excuse for him to tweak his image or do the “singing live thing” but without actually singing! I’d be crying to if i suddenly realised I was Chris Brown. He actually makes me sick. I loathe him. Who does he think he is? Arrogant& abusive hope he gets everything back in his face. Douche.

Wow so when a person makes a mistake they should be forever hated? We have all made mistakes but we are not on public display. He was wrong he was punished time to move on. I hate to say it but it seems the public finds it easier to hate black men when they screw up than they do whites. Get over it. He did not rape, kidnap or kill anyone. I’m sure after all that has happened he won’t lay a hand on anyone else. Live and let live.

I cannot believe the nerve of society. JUDGE AND YE SHALL BE JUDGED ALSO. One should take caution when speaking so negatively and wishing such ill will on others. The same woe you wish upon others, will rain upon you and/or your loved ones (AND THIS IS NOT SPEAKING NEGATIVELY OR WISHING ILL THIS IS SIMPLY SPEAKING FROM THE GOOD BOOK). It’s one thing to disagree with someone’s actions, but it’s inhuman to pray on one’s downfall. We can only hope that he has learned from this experience. It seems that some people won’t be satisfied until they have his blood. So glad that you weren’t given the opportunity to be on the judge or jury… we all know what would have happened if you were. My goodness, I wish you nothing but the best my dear… You have a lot of growing to do Abbey. Sweetie don’t let Hate (loathe) consume you and who you have the potential to be. Love until you can love no more. That’s what life is about.

Wishing you and Chris Breezy nothing but the best,
