Chris Pratt Suits Up For ‘Esquire’, Donates To A Charity Centre
The 35-year-old goofed around on an boat in sweaty Louisiana for the cover shoot. On the cover, Chris donned a light grey two-piece with a white shirt and tie, with the magazine dubbing him “America’s Sweetheart!”
When Guardians of the Galaxy was pitched to me, I said, “I don’t think so.” I just didn’t picture myself getting the role. I didn’t want to go and embarrass myself like I did when I auditioned for G.I. Joe a couple of years previously. I went in there, and halfway through I saw the director’s eyes just glaze over. It made sense—I was a little heavy and out of shape. I was not gonna play someone from G.I. Joe. I did not look like a G.I. Joe action figure come to life.
During his interview, he also spoke about Anna and how they met. They met in 2007 on the set of Take Me Home Tonight. He thought she was hot and funny, but at the time, she was married to Ben Indra. She eventually called Chris to tell him she had left her husband, and he knew he would marry her.
Is that adorable or what? They are definitely a couple I’d want to hang out with!
Meanwhile, besides looking like a total hunk on the cover of Esquire, the actor uses his downtime to donate to charity! He brought at least five boxes and a suitcase to a charity centre and was all smiles while doing it.
