Chris Hemsworth brought wife Elsa Pataky to the premiere of Thor, opening Friday. The married couple will have to battle it out for this weekend’s box office win, as Pataky’s film Fast Five brought in over $86 million last weekend, Universal’s highest grossing opening for a single film ever.
“I had a fantastic director and a great cast to support me through [the making of the film],” Hemsworth told Entertainment Tonight. “It was a big collaborative effort and I had a lot of fun doing it.”
Hemsworth’s co-star Kat Dennings actually cried after seeing the film. “I’m still reeling,” the comic book fan said. “I’ve only seen it once and I’m really excited to see it again because I cried.”
Other stars who attended last night’s premiere at the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood were Liam Hemsworth, MC Hammer, Anton Yelchin, Steve R. McQueen, Fivel Stewart, Boo Boo Stewart, Jennifer Grey, Clark Gregg, Peter Facinelli, Tadanobu Asano, Jaimie Alexander, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Kenneth Branagh, Idris Elba, Rene Russo and Stan Lee.
