With Emmy nominations set to be announced July 14th, people are curious as to how Chris Colfer is feeling. Colfer told the Los Angeles Times that he’s excited at the prospect of getting thrown into the mix again – Emmys, Golden Globes, SAG - Bring it on, the Glee star says.
“When I was growing up, I was an awards show junky, so it’s so much fun and exciting. When I get mentioned in a category, it puts me over the moon. It’s great when you get into it and you see all of the behind-the-scenes stuff, what it takes to get nominated, the voting process — it’s pretty overwhelming.”
Glee co-creator Ryan Murphy recently spilled that the characters will graduate in 2012, making room for new students to enter the picture. Matthew Morrison told Ryan Seacrest that Mr. Schuester and Sue Sylvester (played by Jane Lynch) will hold the series together. What does this mean for the current cast? No word yet, but Colfer told us not to freak out. “I would just tell the fans: Don’t be worried. That’s all I’m gonna say because a lot of fans are worried that the characters are going to graduate and leave the show, but that’s not necessarily the case. Don’t fret.”
Colfer headed to England after the interview for the European leg of the Glee tour. He and co-star Ashley Fink were spotted leaving the Yang Sing Restaurant Manchester last night. Meanwhile, Heather Morris barhopped with some friends looking silly with those knee-high socks.
