Chloe Moretz Looking At Met Premiere, Offered Lead In ‘Carrie’ Remake [PHOTOS]

Chloe Moretz, see here looking gorgeous in YSL at last night’s Met opening of Manon, has been offered the leading role in a remake of Stephen King’s Carrie.

The 15-year-old actress, who will be seen alongside Johnny Depp in Dark Shadows later this year. Boys Don’t Cry director Kimberly Pierce is adapting the project, which is reportedly closer to the book about a troubled young woman with telekinetic powers than to Brian DePalma’s 1976 film version.

Julianne Moore and Jodie Foster have both reportedly been approached to play Carrie’s mother. 

Carrie tells the tale of a young girl who uses her newly-discovered telekinetic powers to wreak her revenge on her bullies and upon its publication in 1974 was one of the most banned books in US schools.

Moretz shot to fame as Hit Girl in Kick Ass, and has since starred in films including Let Me In, Hugo and Hick.
