Young Hollywood was out in full force last night (February 15) to help celebrate at the Sony PlayStation US launch event for PS Vita at Siren Studios in Hollywood, California.
Actress Chloe Moretz hit the red carpet as well for the event. The actress’ most recent film Hugo wasn’t the box office hit that she hoped for, and it actually cost her some money. Moretz had a few bonus clauses in her contract for her performance in Hugo, and one of those bonuses would have been given to her if the film had performed better box office-wise.
Moretz would have gotten $25,000 if she had been nominated for a Golden Globe or Oscar (neither happened), and she would have been given another $25,000 bonus if the film made between $150 and $225 domestically. If it topped $250 million, she would have gotten $50,000.
So far, Hugo has grossed only $61 million domestically. Are you surprised by Chloe’s bonus deal? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
