Sheryl Crow, Keith Urban, Nicole Kidman, And Others Raise Money For Flood Victims

Taking a page from the Haiti relief handbook, country superstars took to the stage for Music City Keep on Playin’–A Benefit for Flood Relief yesterday (May 16), raising about $1.7 million for those hit by the floods in Tennessee.

James Denton helped host and Cheryl Crow, who suddenly developed a southern accent, gave a heart felt speech of love before performing.

Check out that performance and Lady Antebellum’s after the jump.

Besides performances, stars like Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman answered calls for donations. I don’t know how anyone could resist being on the phone with Nicole and not asking her it Tom Cruise is really a cyborg, but other people have more discipline than me. At one point she puts her husband on the phone, likley to make some superfan’s day. Other workers that night included Kellie Pickler and the events cohosts Brad and Kimberly Williams-Paisley.
