Charlize Theron Puts Herself On The Market For Charity

Charlize Theron auctioned herself off to one lucky bidder last night at the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project at the Darby Restaurant in New York. The winner of the auction gets to go on a one-on-one date with Theron. An insider says the prize went for around $20,000. Ca-ching!

But the money will be going to a good cause: the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project, founded in 2007, benefits at-risk children and communities in the actress’s home of South Africa. She’s so devoted to the project that she took off from acting for most of last year, but has recently talked about a return to the screen in a Princess Diana biopic.

The actress looked stunning in a white Versace dress and Stella McCartney jacket on the red carpet, among other celebs like Petra Nemcova, Jon Hamm, Jennifer Westfeldt, Cheyenne Jackson, Jessica White, Lorenzo Martone, Johnny Knoxville and Liv Tyler who all came out to the support the cause.
