Most people know Charles Shaughnessy for his long-running role of Maxwell Sheffield on the Emmy-winning sitcom, The Nanny. But did you know that in Britain, Charles is an official member of the Royal Family?
As of December 2007, Charles Shaughnessy was titled Baron Shaughnessy – the fifth person in his family to do so. Although seldom called such, by his baronial title he is also properly styled as The Right Honourable The Lord Shaughnessy.
The Right Honourable The Lord Shaughnessy has kept quite busy in recent years! In addition to being a member of the Royal Family, Baron Shaughnessy recently starred in Your Highness opposite James Franco and Natalie Portman, Mardi Gras: Spring Break, and even made a cameo in Lindsay Lohan‘s Liz & Dick.
Somehow he still found time for voice over work as the Sheriff of Nottinham for the latest Tom & Jerry movie: Robin Hood and His Merry Mouse – and won the award for Best Lead Actor from Broadway World in 2011 for his theatre work.
For the shoot, Charles wears Armani, Halston and Ralph Lauren. Grooming by Taryn Feldt (www.tarynlovesmakeup.com).
The Nanny can be currently seen airing on Nick at Nite, TV Land and LOGO in the United States, The Hallmark Channel in the Philippines, Super RTL and VOX in Germany, and Go! and TV1 in Australia. Charles’ next film, This Magic Moment, airs August 17th on The Hallmark Channel.
