The pretty people gathered at Chanel’s annual Tribeca Film Festival dinner to honor artists like Yoko Ono and Spencer Platt (Platt must reaaaaaalllly dislike pop culture these days). Selma Blair told USA Today’s Life Line Live that being a juror at the Tribeca Film Festival is a lot like being a juror in court. There’s a big deliberation process when it comes to handing out festival prizes. Blair’s favorite film of the festival was Edward Burns‘ Nice Guy Johnny. “It was refreshing to see a comedy,” she said. Handsome, talented and good to his wife, that Eddie Burns.
Blair was decked out in Chanel for the dinner, and holds the brand very dear to her tweed-covered heart. Her favorite piece is a bag she dareth not use, except for a special occasion.
“I am a fan of the quilted bags and I do have my most favorite Chanel
bag. I haven’t worn it yet — it’s too perfect. So, maybe if I ever get
married again I’ll wear that as my bouquet.”
Kristen Bell best summed up the spirit of the Tribeca Film Festival:
“I think having something that’s here in New York, where some of the
grittiest filmmakers started their careers, is really nice — to
celebrate amongst the people that sort of started it.”
Other glittery gembots who attended the April 28th dinner at the Odeon in NYC: Rachel Zoe, Aaron Eckheart, Robert De Niro, Abbie Cornish, Peter Facinelli, Yoko Ono, Terry Richardson, Olivia Thirby, Leigh Lezark, and Zoe Kravitz.
