Celebrities Post Reactions, Condolences To Colorado Shootings On Twitter

In the aftermath of the mass shooting in Aurora, Colorado by 24-year-old PhD student James Holmes, the nation has come together to share their shock, horror as well as an outpouring of support to the people of Aurora.

Holmes killed at least 12 people and injured as many as 50, including U.S. military members, during the midnight premiere of the movie at the Century 16 Movie Theaters in Aurora early this morning.

Some of those injured were children, including a 4-month-old baby who was released from the hospital.

During a campaign stop in Florida on Friday, President Barack Obama held a moment of silence for the victims of the shooting spree at a Colorado movie theater, which killed at least 12 people and wounded another 50. His words are below.

“This morning we woke up to news of a tragedy that reminds us of all the ways that we are united as one American family,” Obama told a crowd of supporters during an appearance in Fort Myers, where he held the moment of silence. “Even as we learn how this happened and who’s responsible, we may never understand what leads anybody to terrorize their fellow human beings like this. Such violence, such evil is senseless, it’s beyond reason.”
