Now, maybe it’s just because I wasn’t paying enough attention to the plot-line of Southpaw, but I totally thought it was going to be another run of the mill boxing movie with a super ripped Jake Gyllenhaal.
But man! Was I wrong. The first trailer was released today, and boxing really takes a secondary role to the main story of a man who loses his wife and his family.

Even Zayn’s former bandmate Harry Styles was feeling all of the emotions last night. In case you missed it: Zayn decided to take a break from One Direction’s world tour before announcing yesterday that he was leaving for good.
