For people of a certain age (namely, me) the 1998 remake of The Parent Trap is basically one of the most important movies to ever be made.

Not only did it instill my love of both rich English people in London and rich American people who own wineries in Napa, but it’s also the main reason so many of us are Lindsay Lohan apologists.

Because yes, she can be kind of crazy and her new relationship is questionable, but sometimes she does great stuff like Dubsmash to famous bits of The Parent TrapRead More »

Henry Cavill
Oh no you didn't...

Henry Cavill visited Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night to promote Batman V. Superman: Dawn Of Justice, which he stars in with Ben Affleck. Clearly Henry was all sarcasm. When Jimmy asked if it was hard for them to be antagonistic toward each other, Henry responded no, because in real life they don’t like each other. ”I just didn’t like him,” he joked. ”Genuine dislike. Sometimes that happens.” Read More »

March 18th, 2016 // Leave a Comment

These two, so scrumptious! The dynamic duo Hugh Jackman and Taron Egerton struck quite a pose at the London premiere of their sports movie Eddie the Eagle on Thursday.

The film is based on the true story of Eddie Edwards, a British fellow who grew up determined to be in the Olympics. When the opportunity finally arises to be the first British Olympic ski jumper, Eddie trains like mad to make the cut and then ends up charming the crowds and becoming a media sensation at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary, despite coming in last in his event. I don’t know if Adam Lambert did a poll of songs people loved him singing on American Idol, or if he just loves singing it, too, but the moment he showed up on the American Idol stage singing “Mad World,” I may or may not have teared up a little bit.

As promised, the singer took to the stage during the final season of Idol last night, gracing us with performances of “Mad World” and his new single, “Welcome to the Show”, featuring Laleh.

As I’m sure you know, they were both amazing.  Read More »

Just Can’t Get Enough Of Alexander Skarsgard’s Abs In New ‘Legend of Tarzan’ Trailer

March 17th, 2016 // Leave a Comment
Oh, Tarzan... I'll be your Jane!

Yes, I know the upcoming Legend of Tarzan movie will be about Tarzan going back to the Congo on some diplomatic mission, only to find out he’s been duped and is now part of some master plan to exploit the place and so fights back. But Alexander Skarsgard just looks too yummy for words in this, so we take a pause.

The film does lay out Tarzan’s origins – being found as a baby by apes and raised in the jungle and all. But then it jumps ahead to show how Tarzan returns to civilization with wife Jane (Margot Robbie) to live a normal life. Until he is asked by (evil) Captain Leon Rom (Christoph Waltz) to come with him to the Congo as a trade emissary for England’s parliament. “You are Tarzan. You may not like who you are. You may have enemies, but you need to go home.” And then it all goes to shit. Read More »

So many photos, so little time.

Jamie Dornan looked particularly handsome on the set of Fifty Shades Darker. I really need him to be in more movies. He’s really very good and he’s just so nice to look at. Please, cast him in more things, Hollywood.

Hugh Jackman and Taron Egerton were also helping fill up our handsome quota for the day at the Norway premiere of Eddie The Eagle. Taron is currently on the shortlist for the young Han Solo movie. As long as his American accent is up to snuff, I think he can do it.  Read More »
