Within this month, Prince Harry has grown a beard and broke his toe…that little piggy isn’t going to the market. Harry is on the cusp of a 16-day, 208 mile trek through the south pole. Breaking his toe less than a month before the expedition, his health became a concern.

Prince Harry that is. The prince and a group of wounded service members launched a charity expedition to the South Pole on Thursday. I guess they wanted to avoid running into Santa.
Prince Harry will join one of 3 teams leaving this weekend for a 200-mile race across the Antartic Plateau. Don’t forget your coat Harry! Well, maybe multiple coats.
The race is to raise awareness of Walking with the Wounded, an organization to help people injured in the military service. Clever name! Almost all of the prince’s American and British teammates are military veterans who were injured in combat, each team will also include a celebrity.

Former soccer stud David Beckham has reportedly been nominated to join the prestigious ranks of the knights of the realm.
According to reports, Beckham could add the coveted honorific “Sir”, to his name as early as New Year’s Eve, or during the annual ceremony affirming new knights at Buckingham Palace, which would then add the title of “Lady” before his wife, Victoria Beckham‘s name.

The royal couple joined poppy sellers at High Street Kensington, around the corner from their palace residence, this morning. Kate Middleton and Prince William travelled to the station on a 1960s Routemaster where they met military personnel and volunteers supporting London Poppy Day.
