Case Dismissed Against Selena Gomez’s Alleged Stalker Thomas Brodnicki
Thomas Brodnicki, who told a psychiatrist that he’d had conversations with God about killing Selena Gomez, has had his felony stalking charge dismissed after a judge ruled there wasn’t sufficient evidence that he intended to carry out his threat.
Brodnicki was being held on $150,000 bail after his arrest on Oct. 31. Mental health workers had called police, saying he had threatened to kill Gomez while on psychiatric hold. He has a history of mental illness.
In court on Wednesday, prosecutors were told that Brodnicki would be held for just 30 minutes, to give them a chance to present sufficient evidence, according to TMZ.com. He must still observe a civil restraining order against him, requiring him to stay away from Gomez, who is dating Justin Bieber.
Selena Gomez, is seen here attending the Stars 2011 Gala To Benefit The Fulfillment Fund on November 1, 2011.
