Carey Mulligan Not Only ‘The Greatest’ But Possibly A ‘Fair Lady’

Carey Mulligan
may have lost out on the best actress Oscar to Sandra Bullock, but the Wall Street 2 star has plenty more great gigs coming up (and I don’t think she would trade spots with Bullock right now.)

Mulligan hit up the premiere of her film The Greatest yesterday at the Linwood Dunn Theater in Hollywood along with costars Pierce Brosnan, Johnny Simmons and the film’s writer/director Shana Feste (wonder where Susan Surandon is and for that matter Shia LaBeouf.) Tobey McGuire also came to watch the film that looks like a classic tearjerker. Check out the film’s trailer after the jump!

The Vogue gal may have another great role coming her way as Emma Thompson lets loose that Carey might be the next Eliza Doolittle. The Headmistress from An Education is going to be writing the script for a My Fair Lady remake and she told BBC5 that she believes the classic character will be played by Mulligan.

“I think Carey is set to play it,” Thompson said. “But we still don’t know about Higgins. I love Hugh [Grant], so I’d love him to do it – he might want to, he might not want to – so we don’t know yet.” They both sound like great choices, so hopefully it happens.
