Despite being seen most recently with Alex Rodriguez, Cameron Diaz isn’t a big believer in the whole ‘stay with one person the rest of your life‘ idea.
“I think the big misconception in our society is that we’re supposed to meet the one when we’re 18, and we’re supposed to get married to them and love them for the rest of our lives. Bulls**t,” she said.
She continued by saying, “Have someone for five years and another person for another five years. Life is long and lucky and yes, love might last forever, but you don’t always live with the person you love forever. You can have that love the rest of your life but you might love someone else along the way, and there’s nothing wrong with that.”
She also had an interesting POV on how fame really reveals people for who they really are.
“I think what happens in Hollywood is that people don’t change much. I feel like people become more who they really are. That’s what fame does — it will only bring out in you what is truly within you. So when you see people acting like a**holes, they really are a**holes.”
Amen girl. And I think she’s right, I think that you can love multiple people throughout your life but it’s certainly a challenge when you evolve throughout your life to ensure you stay in line with the changes that the person you love is making as well? What do you all think?
