Cameron Diaz was in Vegas last night to promote Bad Teacher at Cinemacon, the official convention of the National Association of Theater Owners. While there, she was bestowed with the honor of Female Star Of The Year. The Hollywood Reporter made the announcement last Monday, noting Diaz’s work in films from The Mask To There’s Something About Mary all the way to Being John Malkovich.
Mitch Neuhauser, the group’s managing director, stated, “Diaz has proven to audiences that she can take on any role and we are thrilled to be able to present such a remarkable actress with the ‘CinemaCon Female Star of the Year Award.’”
Diaz stars next in the Coen Brothers‘ remake of Gambit with Oscar winner Colin Firth.
