The Kings of Leon were caught in Glasgow, Scotland leaving their Glasgow Hotel to make their way to their next gig. They are set to indulge in the good food and festivities of their hometown Nashville, Tennessee for the food festival in September.
Caleb Followill and Nathan Followill worked together with chef Jonathan Waxman to co-host the Music City Eats festival. Music City Eats festival will highlight top chefs from all over the country and especially in Nashville plus live music performances by the Kings of Leon, Petty Fest Nashville (an all-star celebration of the music of Tom Petty), Emmylou Harris and Norah Jones.
Waxman tells the story of how the festival came to be about saying, “Caleb Followill quietly slipped into my restaurant Barbuto in New York, and we bonded over food and music, and throughout our many conversations, he kept asking why there wasn’t a food and wine festival in his hometown of Nashville.” Seems to me the rest is history, and it’s the perfect time for the festival to happen for the band.
The family band is set to have their sixth album ‘Mechanical Bull’ out sometime in September. Therefore this festival is also the perfect time to promote their new songs.
I’m sure that’ll be tough for Caleb to be away from his wife Lilly Aldridge and adorable baby Dixie. Unless of course they decide to make it a band plus Caleb’s family tour ha-ha.
Currently the Kings of Leon already have their song “Supersoaker,” out which is quite catchy and a total feel-good song. Head to Direct Lyrics to check out the premier of this song’s music video!
The Music City Eats will take place from 21 to 22 September and be sure to keep your eyes and ears peeled for their new album coming out soon.
