Two years after he was clocked in the head on stage, Bret Michaels is suing the Tony Awards. Radar Online reports that the lawsuit is targeted at Tony Awards Productions, CBS and a boat load of others for unspecified damages and costs. Michaels initially had to get stitches and a trecut lip after being hit, but a few months later he “suffered a near fatal subarachnoid hemorrhage…..Through his sheer will to live, see his children grow up, Michaels was able to survive this trauma. Although he put a brave face on for the public, the fact is that the injury left Michaels clinging for his life and in excruciating agony. It was only through months of hard work and dedication – that continue to this day – that Michaels has been able to resume some semblance of his life and career,” court documents state.
The now healthy singer/reality star was at the Muhammad Ali Celebrity Fight Night XVII in Phoenix, Arizona last Saturday with fiance Kristi Gibson. Kevin Costner, Sinbad, David Foster and Kelly Clarkson were among the celebrities in attendance.
