Pink is the New Carpet

April 9th, 2008 // 4 Comments

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation hosted the ‘Hottest Pink Party Ever 2008′ at the Waldorf Astoria last night. The event was hosted by Evelyn H. Lauder.

Liz Hurley and Gwyneth Paltrow both attended the event, as they are both Estee Lauder spokesmodels.

As the name suggests, all attendees were asked to wear pink. Liz wore an Indian sari, while Gwyn wore a bright fuschia dress with a black sash.

The more I see her new ‘do, the more I really like it. Gwyneth has a new glow now that she ditched those long stringy locks.

Also at the event was Mr. Fierce himself, Christian Siriano, looking a little Sgt. Pepper-y. I’m curious as to why he didn’t don any pink. I would think he might have been able to pull it off.

Representing ‘Top Chef’ were Padma Lakshmi and the handsome Rocco Dispirito, who might have been the only guy to actually wear the hue of the evening, except for Carson Kressley’s little pocket square.

Actually, I’m a little disappointed that Carson didn’t wear this pink little number.

Elizabeth Hurley, you are not Indian. And your saree looks cheap. If you WERE Indian, you’d probably know that.
