On Saturday (March 23rd), E! News anchor Catt Sadler hosted Simply Stylist: 2nd Annual Los Angeles Fashion And Beauty Event at Siren Studios in Hollywood.  Attendees learning, networking, and shopping with the leading tastemakers of the fashion and beauty industries

Panel speakers Whitney Port, fashion blogger Aimee Song, Brad Goreski, Louise Roe, Simply Stylist owner Sarah Boyd and fashion editor Melissa Magsasay. learning, networking, and shopping with the leading tastemakers of the fashion and beauty industries.

During the panel, Goreski said that he always wanted to be in fashion since he was a child (playing with Barbie was one of his favorite childhood memories).  At the age of six, Canadian-born Goreski styled his mother and began commenting on fashion.  It wasn’t until he was an intern living in NYC that he decided he wanted to be a stylist.

While interning at Teen Vogue, then-editor Jessica Deal asked Goreski for help on a Vogue shoot, which pretty much sealed his fate.

Goreski left the audience with crucial tips for a successful and happy career:

1) Live every day to the fullest and be the best that you can be in your job.

2) Be as creative as you can, because you could lose that job the next day.  This also will allow you to rise in what you are good at.

3) The fashion world is competitive and those who are giving their 100% everyday will continue to succeed.
