If you asked me to create my ideal festival, it probably would have looked something like this year’s BottleRock Music Festival in Napa Valley.

This year’s festival, held at the Napa Valley Expo from May 30 to June 1, featured music, food and, of course, all the wine you could drink.

But aside from the kick-ass Morimoto Napa food we ate and the delicious Sauvignon Blanc we sipped on, I was all about the 90s throwbacks.

If you haven’t guess already, both Weezer and the Barenaked Ladies killed it. Weezer played every single one of their hits–which is exactly what you want during a festival–leading to one giant sing along.

Also, did you know that the Barenaked Ladies were so amazing in concert? I did not. But oh my god they were! One of the highlights for me was getting to sing “One Week” with the people who wrote it. (It’s my go-to karaoke song, so I’ve got the lyrics down). Plus, the band was all about improvising  raps, and even gave us their version of some of today’s hits. Barenaked Ladies singing “Wrecking Ball” anyone?

Other highlights from the festival included an amazing performance by The Cure, which was sadly cut short, and another reunion for OutKast. Also, the Gin Blossoms. Everything Gin Blossoms. All in all you guys, it was a great time. And all that amazing wine and food didn’t hurt either. Launch the gallery to check out some of the best photos from the weekend, and don’t forget to keep an eye out for the festival next year!
