Defending the honor of Britney Spears, Bill Clinton recently spoke out about aggressive tabloid culture. According to the former president who himself is no stranger to scandal, certain media outlets simply go too far. From Women’s Wear Daily:
“I think there’s something wrong with modern culture if Britney Spears — who I happen to like — can’t have a personal crisis without having it splashed all over the tabloids,” he griped.
This quote is from when the president had the occasion to speak in front of an audience of nearly 1,000 members of the entertainment media for the television upfronts. However, Clinton’s mood changed when he fondly spoke of “Boston Legal.”
“The chemistry between William Shatner and James Spader is something to behold every week.”
Remember when James Spader was sort of sexy, in his strange, 80′s villain/almost-rapist unpredictable way? Now, I look at him and the image I get is a puffy guy with hipster glasses and a strange speech pattern. In addition to that, he now plays in a show opposite William Shatner, much to the amusement of Bill Clinton. If someone would have told me ten years ago that this would be the case today, I would have smacked them for being so silly.
