New York Yankees resident hottie and captain will be stepping up to the plate this fall for a reason other than the playoffs. He has created a men’s fragrance exclusively for Avon called Driven. According to Women’s Wear Daily the fragrance, set to launch in November, will be followed up by an entire line which will include personal care products such as deodorant, after shave, and shower gel.
Jeter recalls the Avon lady coming to his home when he was a young boy in Michigan and his mom purchasing the products. I guess you could say he has a long standing relationship with the company. Jeter one of New York’s most eligible bachelors says he had total control in the production, packaging, design of the label, and even the name of the product. Driven comes in a sleek blue bottle with a silver cap. I wonder where he came up with those two fabulous colors? Driven was created by Drom Fragrances International and is a mixture of grapefruit, rhubarb, spearmint, iced lavender, oakmoss, pacific driftwood and snow musk. Okay I don’t know what those last three things smell like but Driven better smell better than it sounds. Jeter joking said his favorite fragrance was Cool Water because Snoop Dogg rapped about it in a song. I really hope you were joking Derek because Cool Water- really?

I am sure that this fragrance will be a strong seller; the estimated advertising budget for Driven is $3 million dollars. Men everywhere will flock to buy it or at least their wives or girlfriends will purchase it for them. I wonder if Red Sox fans will purchase this fragrance? Probably not, their signature fragrance is stale beer and the sweet smell of having their asses handed to them on a platter. “Here we go Yankee’s- Here we go! ”
