Avan Jogia and Josh Hutcherson Want You! VIDEO]
Gay-Straight Alliances are popping up at schools all over the country and are made up of students of all sexual orientations and gender identities. GSA members support each other and work together to end bullying, homophobia and transphobia. Avan stresses the importance of getting involved with the GSA. He tells us, “I think the most important thing about having straight allies is just the knowledge that there are people who are there for you…straight allies are people who accept you for who you are and who are on your side and will defend you.” When you meet the exceptional students in this video, Avan and Josh hope you’ll be inspired to join or even start up your own GSA on campus.
Enjoy the video and support SBNN. If you like Josh and Avan’s communal t-shirt, you can get your own at the SBNN store (besides looking fashion-forward and fabulous, you’ll also be helping poor Avan get a t-shirt of his own!) Keep up with the latest news from Straight But Not Narrow on their website, Twitter, Facebook and, of course, YouTube. It will get better…with your help. Are you up for the challenge?
