Bachelorette, Ashley Hebert has chosen her man in the finale of the show. The lucky contestant who made the final cut is J.P. Rosenbaum from New York’s Long Island. Hebert chose the 34-year-old construction manager over winemaker Ben Flajnik from California on Monday’s two-hour finale.
Hebert is a 26-year-old Madawaska, Maine, native. She now lives in Philadelphia and attends dental school at the University of Pennsylvania. She competed on The Bachelor for Brad Womack’s affections in season 15.
This season of The Bachelorette had plenty of controversy, with the contestant Bentley Williams stirring up the show with deceiving Ashley by pretending he loved her, while he did not.
The final episode was started with Ben proposing to Ashley, and Ashely refusing the proposal and trying to console him. Ben was was deeply hurt and left the show in a sorrow.
More on the finale…
Now it was J.P.’s turn to propose, he told Ashley he said that he has to take a leap of faith and that’s exactly what he did.
J.P. got down on one knee and asked will Ashely if she’ll marry him while presenting her with a Neil Lane diamond engagement ring. Ashley replied ‘Yes!’ while he placed the ring on her finger. The couple shared a long kiss. And then REO Speedwagon’s “I Can’t Fight This Feeling” played as they twirled around on the beach.
What did you think of the outcome? I actually felt really bad for Ben, but ultimately I think that Ashley made the right decision by choosing J.P.
