It’s not all peachy in Winter-land. In fact, it’s probably far from peachy. It seems as if things are quite the opposite for Ariel Winter‘s reality from her quirky and weird, yet still fun-loving family on Modern Family.
The actress has recently moved in with older sister Shanelle Gray, and it’s not the “Cool! I get to move out with my sister!” type of way either. Uh oh.
US Weekly reported (from court papers) that Winter has come forth that she has experienced “ongoing physical abuse (slapping, hitting, pushing) and emotional abuse (vile name-calling, personal insults about minor and minor’s weight, attempts to ‘sexualize’ minor, deprivation of food, etc.) for an extended period of time.”
The fact that a judge has put Winter under her sister’s guardianship makes the whole ordeal seem like a BIG and serious ordeal. However, the accused mother is standing by her innocence, and has her son Jimmy Workman to back her up.
I have my doctor’s letter that my daughter’s never been abused. I have stylists’ letters that she’s never been abused.
Ok, mom. We’ll let the court decide that. I guess, it’s a semi-good sign that she has her son’s loyalty? According to People, he is completely against the allegations.
There is no truth to these allegations. The allegations made 20 years ago are not true and the ones today are not true.
Great! Now who are we supposed to believe? I’m on Ariel’s side, but maybe I’m just biased because I love her as Alex Dunphy. Whatever may be the case, at least Winter gets some kind of loving from her on-set motherClaire Dunphy (played by Julie Bowen). Let’s just hope that the 14-year-old actress is able to settle the matter at hand and focus on her budding career.
