Hollywood Life reports that Cindy Barshop and Alex McCord will not return for another season of The Real Housewives Of New York City. HOWEVER, McCord wrote to Pop Eater, “If I had a dollar every time an ‘inside source,’ i.e. a cast member, leaked a ‘story’ that I was out of RHONY, I’d be a multi-millionairess!”
Speculation on exits most likely surfaced after the reunion taping at Capital in NYC last Wednesday. One cast member told the site that Barshop remained silent for most of the taping (which took ten hours). “And when she did talk about her time on the show it was in the past tense. She is definitely not coming back,” the insider added. Barshop definitely didn’t seem to jive with the droomz that comes with being a Real Housewife. I’m not sure if she just didn’t tune in for the first few seasons or hoped that the women would stop acting like haughty teenagers. Let’s be serious, though. One has to be crackers to join these broads. A spokesperson from Bravo said that “no decisions have been made regarding next season and everything at this point is rumor.”
Hollywood Life also claims that The Real Housewives Of Miami is being picked up for another season, complete with a few new cast members. Awesome. The suck factor on that franchise is through the roof, so green-lighting another season is SUCH a good idea. HL also states that Andy Cohen is looking to add new cities to the Real Housewives series. This contradicts his statement/promise to stop the insanity back in March.
