Angelina Jolie gave an interview to 60 Minutes in which the Oscar winner said she was grateful that her star didn’t fade too early. “I didn’t die young, so I’m very lucky,” Jolie told Bob Simon (via People). “There are other artists and people who didn’t survive certain things.”
When Simon asked Jolie to elaborate on those “certain things,” she declined to, but acknowledged that what people thought of her in years past was more or less on the mark.
“I think people can imagine that I did the most dangerous and I did the worst, and for many reasons I shouldn’t be here,”Jolie said. “You think of those too many times where you came close to too many dangerous things, too many chances taken too far.”
Now that she’s a mom of six and focuses much of her time on charity, is Jolie still a wild child? “I’m still a bad girl. I still have that side of me,” she admitted. “It’s just in its place now. … It belongs to Brad.”
Jolie and Brad Pitt, along with their six children – Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne - left the Haneda International Airport in Tokyo, Japan on November 10th.. The family enjoyed their very limited 48 hours stay by shopping at famous local toy shops while Pitt promoted his film Moneyball.
Jolie’s interview airs this Sunday (November 27th) on 60 Minutes. In the meantime, check out a preview clip below.
