The hunt is on.
On this episode of FX’s American Horror Story Coven, viewers found out more about Cordelia’s husband Hank and his shady childhood past.
Turns out, his father is a witch hunter and much to Hank’s chagrin, so is he. Now he is doing the work of Marie Laveau, destroying Cordelia’s coven witch by witch, but suddenly the tables have turned.
Hank’s father is the CEO of witch hunting LLC and demands that Hank take care of business. Hank finds out that his father’s operation gave the go ahead on blinding Cordelia, but we still don’t know the actual culprit. Hank is appalled, saying that he loves Cordelia, and his father is disgusted.
Fiona shows up to Marie’s salon with Delphine’s head in a box. She tells Marie that they need to put this petty war behind them and join forces because witch hunters are after them. Marie says she will wait to handle the problem until after the Salem coven has been destroyed. Fiona leaves and Marie tells Queenie to burn Delphine’s head, but instead she sets it down in front of a television to watch the eight hour mini series, ‘Roots’. She wants to give Delphine a history and advancement of civil rights, whether she likes it or not.
Myrtle is now hanging around the academy all the time and asks Cordelia to use her gift of sight to touch her and know that she wasn’t the one who took away her sight. Cordelia trusts Myrtle, the woman who constantly wears gloves and prevents touching anyone. Odd. Myrtle then brings in the council and makes them lunch which actually is poisoned with a paralyzing substance. She then cuts out an eye from each of them and gives sight back to Delia, who looks super weird as a cerebra. Later on she chops the council up into pieces.
Zoe and Madison go to the hospital where Luke is recovering and visit Nan. She is helping Luke connect with his mother from the other side of his coma. His crazy religious mother is happy that Nan is helping her connect until Luke reveals that he knows that his father’s death was no accident. His mother murdered his father, with bees no less, after finding out about his affair. She smothers Luke with a pillow because she can’t handle him knowing the truth.
Delia teaches Misty Day how to make another sort of clay that can bring life back into dead things. Misty will be even more powerful with Delia’s help. Then Hank shows up and is happy to see that Delia’s sight is back. But she tells him to leave and informs him that she has filed for divorce.
A dog barks at Hank inside the house and Fiona informs him that he isn’t welcome and the dog is there to protect. The dog then goes to Zoe’s room and reveals Kyle, who subsequently kills the dog. Fiona isn’t even mad. She helps him get a little more intelligent and forces him to play cards with her.
Queenie is frustrated that Delphine wasn’t effected by the civil rights films and so she puts on “Oh, Freedom” before returning downstairs. While the song plays, Delphine finally understands and gets emotional, just in time for Hank to return to the salon and blow everyone to smithereens. One can assume that they’re all dead, but Queenie who uses her voodoo powers to blow her own brains out and therefore Hank’s brains as well. Marie shows up to the academy ready to align forces with Fiona. Shit’s about to go down.
