‘American Horror Story’ Cast May Not “Live” To See Season Two

Heads up, American Horror Story fans:  your on-screen faves might not survive to see another season.

Not literally, of course (though don’t quote me!), but rumor has it that season two will introduce an entirely new locale and new cast. Ooh!

During the teleconference that showrunner Ryan Murphy made this announcement, Murphy teased, “I’m talking to several of them and we’re in negotiations. There will be familiar faces, but there will also be new faces on the show.” If they return, Jessica Lange, Dylan McDermottConnie Britton, and other stars will come back as completely different characters in a different storyline.

The cast will be sure to find other projects to do if they aren’t back for another season. For instance, McDermott was recently spotted walking around between takes on the set of his movie Dog Fight, filming in New Orleans.

Not going to lie:  I’m always a little nervous when it comes to Ryan Murphy’s announcements. I’m a pretty hardcore Gleek, so whenever he announces anything pretty big about Glee (like, you know, announcing some major stars will be graduating and leaving the show… or, uh, not leaving… sigh), it often sends the fan community (including myself!) into a tizzy. Eeeeeep!

But enough about Glee. How are you coping, AHS fans? Excited to see fresh, unspilled blood on the screen, or are you hoping to see some of your favorites for another “horrific” season?
