Amanda Bynes ‘Retires’ At Age 24
Amanda Bynes seems to think a handful of movies and a TV career lived out on Nickelodeon justifies a retirement from her “career.”
“I know 24 is a young age to retire but you heard it here first,” she wrote yesterday afternoon.
FYI: The last time any of us have seen her work was Sydney White three years ago (not a far cry from a Disney Channel original movie).
Like any former child star, Amanda (pictured partying with a friend at Bardot in Hollywood, CA on March 9, 2009) has been spending the last few years slutting it up via Twitter or Maxim or elsewhere, but now she wants to delete an actual job from that equation, or at least one on camera.
Yesterday, Bynes seemed to be having some kind of identity crisis via Twitter.
“I don’t love acting anymore so I’ve stopped doing it,” she wrote. “Being an actress isn’t as fun as it may seem.”
She continued: “I’ve
never written the movies & tv shows I’ve been apart of I’ve only
acted like the characters the producers or directors wanted me to play.” Well, that seems strange, considering that most actors don’t write their own material…but hey.
So let’s allow her to spend one last day in the sun then. The girl’s trending on Google for the first time ever I’m guessing. Or gimmick much? She has a movie coming out this summer with It Girl Emma Stone called Easy A. Just sayin’…
