Seyfried, who reportedly showed a picture of her Alexander McQueen dress to the Best Supporting Actress winner the day before the Oscars, pissed Hathaway off to the point where she switched out her selected Valentino gown for a less impressive Prada number.
This prompted Hathaway’s team to release the following statement to People:
“It came to my attention late Saturday night that there would be a dress worn to the Oscars that is remarkably similar to the Valentino I had intended to wear, and so I decided it was best for all involved to change my plans.”
On Saturday, Seyfried tweeted something that was either A) A wise-ass statement or B) A mea culpa to her dear Fantine.
Fact: I love you, Anne!
