We all know Adele‘s voice is a miracle, but I personally never thought her music could actually perform one.

On April 13, 7 year-old Charlotte Neve suffered a major brain hemorrhage in her sleep, was rushed to the hospital where two major operations were performed before suffering through a series of strokes. The little girl then slipped into a week long coma.

The doctors of Leeds Hospital, located in Great Britain, told mother Leila Neve to prepare for her final good byes. As she began to cuddle her youngest daughter, an Adele song started to play on the radio, Rolling in the Deep to be exact.

What happened next can only be described as a miracle.

According to The Telegraph, her mother started to sing along with the song, one of their favorites to sing together, so it seemed fitting. Almost immediately Charlotte started to smile, the first time she had been responsive since entering the hospital.

Her mother said, “The nurses were astounded and told me to keep singing, and she smiled again. The nurses said it was like I ‘unlocked her’ and from that day she started getting better and better.”

The next step was to take the drain out of Charlotte’s head and see if she was able to function. Her mother said, “She literally went from smiling and being giddy to standing up in bed. It was a miracle.”

The little girl was eventually allowed permanently to go home and has since started going back to school, for short amounts of time, and just two months after the incident has even started going to dance classes again. She still suffers from partial blindness and memory loss and the doctors are unsure whether it is permanent or not, but Charlotte has been defying every odd so there is no way of predicting what will come next, all thanks to Adele and her hit single.

“From the scans, she shouldn’t even be able to walk again – never mind talk, ride her bike and run around like she has been doing.”

I believe Adele deserves a big pat on the back for this one, maybe even a fan meet and greet? I think both parties would be thrilled with the idea.
