Adam Lambert

Well, I should clarify that technically Adam Lambert isn’t releasing the CD, his former label RCA is.

Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way let’s all get super excited about the fact that we’re gonna get to hold an Adam Lambert CD in our hands in May! Sure it’s not the new music he’s been working on with Swedish producer Max Martin, but it’s still something!

According to reports, RCA will release a best of CD on May 27 featuring music from Adam’s previous albums Trespassing and For Your Entertainment, plus songs from American Idol and even Glee

Basically no Lambert stone will be left unturned. I’m really obsessed with what’s written in the liner notes.

“If some of these tracks feel like musical mission statements, it’s in their skillful fusion of mainstream pop and rock with left-of-center, if not underground, musician and pop-cultural markers, and their clear conviction towards that mission. And it that’s not the hallmark of an artist who’s unfailingly true to himself… well, you are invited to listen to some more until you get it.”

I doubt Adam has anything to do with his album–he’s yet to Tweet anything about it–but I do think whoever wrote that knew exactly what they were talking about. Check out the official track listing below.

Hopefully this will be an incentive for Adam to get his new music out there. Will you be picking up a copy of The Very Best of Adam Lambert when it hits shelves? Or are you not falling for the RCA money trap? Sound off in the comments below!

You don’t get it. Adam parted ways with RCA and this is their attempt to make money off his older music. I think it’s offensive.

Your headline is a lie. Go back and read the original Hollywood Reporter article that you copied from and fix it. Sensational much?

  3. Lauriellen

A deal is a deal and aparently RCA/Sony can do this. Adam did Tweet about it. More Adam music in people’s hands (and ears) is a good thing. At least every article I’ve seen mentions that Adam dumped his label, that he’s working on new music and that he’s touring with Queen.

Great set list. But I could fill 1 or 2 more albums with some spectacular. tracks (Shady, Outlaws of Love, Cuckoo, Underneath, Sleepwalker, Pop that Lock to name a few.)

New/Old Adam music is good for me…I will definitely buy it. I love the playlist but I wish Map woulda been on it…one of my favorites. It’s just a tease for us…I will still be waiting………………..for his new music! and yes “njl” pop that lock…and sleepwalker should have been included…and many others….:).
