What does one open to the Metropolitan Opera? What about when Yves Saint Laurent sponsors a premiere of Armida there? Major fashion show moment potential.
Surprisingly Ginnifer Goodwin and Chloe Sevigny decided the jumpsuit was the answer to the tricky fashion affair. While Gin, as I just decided to call her, gave her look a heavy 80s hand with hair spikes, neon, and big earrings, Chloe went overly simple with a shapeless jumpsuit and her opera length gloves seem more like a punch line.
While Julianna Marguiles seems a bit dull in a simple black dress she is stunning from the neck up and Keith Lieberthal looks gorgeous on her arm. Christine Baranski’s look is probably most appropriate for the affair; elegant but not boring. Maggie Gyllenhaal‘s beige dress is probably not the most appropriate, but at least it’s not a jumpsuit and I love the color on her and the pairing with the vivid platform shoes and bright lips. Camilla Bella appropriately sported YSL shoes and a lovely gown of cascading layers and light make-up that let her dark features do the talking.
