Jake Gyllenhaal, who serves as a jury member on the Berlin Film Festival panel, attended last night’s premiere of Les Adieux De La Reine (Farewell, My Queen) during day one of the 62nd annual fest at the Berlinale Palast in Berlin, Germany.
Gyllenhaal spoke about being part of the jury during a press conference for the festival, touching upon his admiration for its president, British filmmaker Mike Leigh. “I was incredibly excited to be asked because I am a big fan of Mike Leigh,” Gyllenhaal said, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
“I loved his films when I was a young boy. Being in a room with a number of artists and just talking about other work, I consider it a privilege and honor to be part of it.”
