Magical, magical, magical. That is quite possibly the only word to describe the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton. It was as if Walt Disney came out of his cryogenic machine and directed the day himself.
Hats off to the brilliant photographers who capture every solid gold moment from April 29th, 2011, down to the look Kate gave over her shoulder to the cheering crowds as she and William went back inside Buckingham Palace.
I found Kate’s father, Michael Middleton to be adorable. The family patriach, known to friends and family as an unassuming man, looked visibly nervous on his daughter’s big day. A few days later, he was photographed on a lawn mower at his home in Bucklebury, as if he didn’t just spend an entire day at Buckingham Palace. I love it.
“Amazingly, it was a family affair,” the royal family photographer Hugo Burand told the Telegraph after the wedding, having taken the famous portrait of the Middletons and the Mountbatten-Windsors together. ”From where I was and from their point of view it was two families coming together and that was the feeling. The sense of family and love going between everyone.”
SOCIALITE LIFE has been proud to cover royal happens before, during and after the royal wedding, and will continue to do so in the future. Aside from the Diamond Jubilee and the Summer Olympics, we’re on the edge of our seats waiting for a baby announcement. In due time, in due time.
