I’ve always thought of Google Street View as a little too Big Brother-ish.
While these photos may look like something out of a strange film but they have in fact been collected by Google’s Street View cameras. Artist Jon Rafman‘s photo project The Nine Eyes of Google Street View collects weird and wonderful images taken by the site’s roving cameras from around the world.
Jon, from Canada, named his project after the nine lenses mounted on a Google Street View car which take the panoramic images. Jon has now published a book of his favorite images.
He said: “Street View collections represent our experience of the modern world.” Google Street View was first launched in the US in 2007.
